Gulls Win 7th Straight Defeating Lasell 3-1

Endicott defeated Lasell College 3-1 improve to 7-1 in NECVA New England play. In the process, the Gulls posted a new team record for blocks in a 4-game match with 13.5 and received outstanding individual performances from captain Jeremy Fontaine and libero Craig Steszewski. Trying out some new line-ups, Endicott won game 1 30-26 and then lost game 2 26-30. The Gulls fell into their normal rhythm in the last two games and finished up 30-20, 30-22.

Endicott was paced by the offense of Fontaine with 28 kills in 43 attempts and freshman Eddie Marchand with 14 kills. Eric Hunter hit .360% and was second on the team in digs with seven. Steszewski led the team defensively with 14 digs. Other highlights of the match were Fontaine's four aces and Lloyd Douglass's 6 total blocks in two games. Russ Friedland was just behind Douglass with 5 blocks in 3 games.

Junior Chris Morin led Lasell's efforts with 16 kills in 41 attempts. Middle blocker Ryan Morrell was the defensive leader for the Lasers with 6 blocks. Morrell also had 9 kills with no errors.

Endicott will now host conference rivals and AVCA \#6 Rivier College on Tuesday, February 17th, at 7:00 PM.
