Endicott defeated MIT 3-0 (30-27, 30-24, 30-27), in what is the first victory for the Gulls over the Engineers. Endicott senior Craig Steszewski pushed the Gulls to victory digging 18 of the MIT attacks and tying 2nd place in EC's record book for digs in a 3-game match. Freshman Eddie Marchand, and junior Jeremy Fontaine led the offensive with a combined 28 kills in the three games.

The match started out evenly in game one, but Endicott took the lead after service runs by captain's Fontaine and Pablo Baez. The Gull effort was eased as MIT was plagued by service and hitting errors (tallying 13 total). In game two, Endicott came out serving strong and picked up their defensive efforts to hold MIT to 24 points. Game three the Gulls were forced to play catch-up trailing by 2 or more the majority of the match. Down 24-20, they went on an intense 10-3 scoring run to finish out the game 30-27.

Marchand led the Gulls offense with 15 kills. Fontaine contributed 13 kills, 14 digs and three blocks. With 36 assists tonight, Baez surpassed the 2,000 assist mark for his career and is currently Endicott's all-time assist leader at 2,020.

Junior Rob McAndrew got 15 attacks past the Gull defense to lead the Engineer offense, which was run by Jordan Wan who tallied 42 assists. Senior Hao Hu and Javad Golji led the team on defense with 12 and 11 digs respectively.

Endicott returns to action on Friday night at home as they face NECVA conference opponents Newbury College at 7:00 PM.
