In a 3-0 victory over Wentworth Institute of Technology, the Endicott Gulls collected their first win of what has shaped up to be an extremely challenging season. Endicott swept the Leopards in three straight 30-20, 30-23, 30-26 behind the leadership of co-captains Pablo Baez and Jeremy Fontaine.

Sophomore Mike Coflesky dominated from the outside for Endicott, tallying a season high seven kills, and hitting .667% (7k-1e/12att). Coflesky also led the team in aces with three. The rest of the sophomore class contributed also, as Eric Hunter chipped in ten kills and Lloyd Douglass hit .667% (9k-1e/12att).

Jeremy Fontaine continued to pace the Gull offense though, leading both teams with 16 kills. Baez directed an efficient offense to collect 43 assists. Fontaine and Hunter led the team on defense with eight digs apiece.

Outside hitter, Phil Li led Wentworth's attack with 12 kills in 24 attempts. Middle blocker, Glaudson DeJesus was right behind him with nine.

The Gulls return to action this Saturday as they will host a pair of NECVA New England matches. They will face Johnson & Wales University at 1 PM and Lasell College at 4 PM.
