BEVERLY, Mass. – On Friday, Commonwealth Coast Conference Commissioner Patrick Colbert announced the addition of two new associate members in the sport of men’s tennis, Colby-Sawyer College (New London, N.H.) and University of Saint Joseph (West Hartford, Conn.).

“We are excited to welcome two quality institutions to our men’s tennis membership,” Colbert said. “Both programs have shown a true commitment towards cementing themselves as high-level programs regionally and nationally. USJ and Colby-Sawyer both align with our priorities as a Conference, and we look forward to partnering with them with the ultimate goal of working collectively to enhance the experiences we provide for their student-athletes.”

The Chargers and the Blue Jays will begin CCC competition starting in the 2024-25 season which will bring the men’s tennis sponsorship to 10 institutions. All programs will play a nine-match Conference schedule.

“Colby-Sawyer is excited to be accepted as an associate member of the Commonwealth Coast Conference for men’s tennis,” Colby-Sawyer Interim Director of Athletics Tom White said. “We look forward to the exceptional competition and future relationships this will provide our men’s tennis program. Thank you to the CCC Presidents, Commissioner Colbert and athletic directors for your support.”

Owning an all-time record of 137-41, CSC advanced to the GNAC Tournament Championship match in 2022 and 2023. The Chargers have won seven conference titles, finished as league tournament runners-up eight times and have made six NCAA Division III Tournament appearances.
