HANOVER, N.H. – The Endicott men's tennis team dropped its match to Colby Sawyer, 5-4, on Friday afternoon at the Boss Tennis Center, on the campus of Dartmouth College.
In doubles action, Daniel Rinkert (Ben Lamond, Calif.) and Collin Dinardo (Westport, Mass.) earned a victory at the No. 3 spot (8-7 (7-4)), whereas the Chargers claimed wins at the No. 2 (8-6) and No. 1 (8-6) positions to go up 2-1 heading into singles play.
Meanwhile, in singles, Colby-Sawyer secured three straight victories at the No. 4 (6-4, 6-1), No. 1 (6-1, 6-4), and No. 5 (7-5, 6-2) flights to ultimately secure the match.
The Gulls finished strongly as Cooper Walters (Madeira Beach, Fla.), Christos Papadopoulos (Weymouth, Mass.), and Rinkert earned wins at the No. 3 (6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 1-0 (10-8)), No. 6 (6-4, 7-6 (7-0)), and No. 2 (7-5, 6-4) positions, respectively.

"We played hard, but the match just didn't fall our way today," said Endicott men's tennis coach Anthony D'Angelo. "I am excited to see how we respond for tomorrow's match against St. Michael's."

Endicott (3-4) will head to St. Michael's on Saturday, March 23 at 12:00 PM. Colby-Sawyer (4-4) will travel to Suffolk University Saturday, March 23 at 1:00 PM.
