Colby-Sawyer Slips Past Endicott, 5-4

HANOVER, N.H. – The Endicott men's tennis team dropped its match to Colby Sawyer, 5-4, on Friday afternoon at the Boss Tennis Center, on the campus of Dartmouth College. 

In doubles action, Daniel Rinkert (Ben Lamond, Calif.) and Collin Dinardo (Westport, Mass.) earned a victory at the No. 3 spot (8-7 (7-4)), whereas the Chargers claimed wins at the No. 2 (8-6) and No. 1 (8-6) positions to go up 2-1 heading into singles play. 

Meanwhile, in singles, Colby-Sawyer secured three straight victories at the No. 4 (6-4, 6-1), No. 1 (6-1, 6-4), and No. 5 (7-5, 6-2) flights to ultimately secure the match.

The Gulls finished strongly as Cooper Walters (Madeira Beach, Fla.)Christos Papadopoulos (Weymouth, Mass.), and Rinkert earned wins at the No. 3 (6-4, 6-7 (4-7), 1-0 (10-8)), No. 6 (6-4, 7-6 (7-0)), and No. 2 (7-5, 6-4) positions, respectively.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (3-4) will head to St. Michael's on Saturday, March 23 at 12:00 PM.  Colby-Sawyer (4-4) will travel to Suffolk University Saturday, March 23 at 1:00 PM.
