Men’s Tennis Lands Four On All-CCC Teams, Daniel Rinkert Named Rookie Of The Year

CCC ALL-CONFERENCE RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Four members of the Endicott men's tennis program claimed Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) postseason honors earlier today, highlighted by Daniel Rinkert (Ben Lomond, Calif.) who was named the CCC Rookie of the Year.

Rinkert also joined Thomas Brent (Gorham, Maine) on the All-CCC third team singles squad, while senior captain Christopher Kirkpatrick (Newburyport, Mass.) was selected to the All-CCC first team singles list.

Lastly, Kirkpatrick and doubles teammate Keaton McCleary (Charlotte, N.C.) rounded out the list of honors for the Gulls as the duo was chosen to the All-CCC second team doubles squad.

DANIEL RINKERT | CCC ROOKIE OF THE YEAR | ALL-CCC THIRD TEAM SINGLES

Rinkert went 9-8 overall in singles play, which included a dominant 5-1 showing in the CCC. Rinkert's best record came at No. 4 singles where the freshman posted a 5-3 mark. He also was 2-2 at No. 2, 1-1 at No. 3, and 0-1 at No. 5.

Meanwhile, in doubles play, Rinkert was 8-5 overall and 4-2 in conference action on the year with five different partners.

CHRISTOPHER KIRKPATRICK | ALL-CCC FIRST TEAM SINGLES

Kirkpatrick posted an 8-7 overall record and 3-3 mark in league play this season. All of Kirkpatrick's matches came at the No. 1 position where he notched a 7-6 record in those dual matches.

Kirkpatrick, who is the lone senior on the Endicott squad, will enter this weekend's CCC Tournament with 32 career singles victories.

THOMAS BRENT | ALL-CCC THIRD TEAM SINGLES

Brent has a 6-9 record in 2018, which includes a 2-3 mark in CCC action. Brent primarily played at the No. 2 position for the Gulls and went 3-3 overall in that spot. Brent also has wins at the No. 3 and No. 5 flights for Endicott this year.

CHRISTOPHER KIRKPATRICK | KEATON MCCLEARY | ALL-CCC SECOND TEAM DOUBLES

Kirkpatrick and McCleary produced a 3-7 overall record and 2-2 showing in league play for the Gulls, all at the No. 1 flight this season.

No. 4 Endicott (10-7) hosts No. 5 Gordon (7-10) on Saturday, April 28 in the CCC Tournament quarterfinals at 1 PM.
