BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's tennis team fell to Nichols in the first conference match of the spring season on Sunday afternoon, 5-0.

The Bison came out strong by sweeping all doubles matches and then going on to capture the first two matches in singles play to secure the victory.

The tightest battle of the day was the No. 1 doubles flight between Christopher Kirkpatrick (Newburyport, Mass.) and Keaton McCleary (Charlotte, N.C.) and Blake Norton (Stratford, Conn.) and August Moeller (Hellerup, Denmark). Kirkpatrick and McCleary battled hard but ultimately fell to the Nichols pairing, 9-7.

"Nichols came out firing on all cylinders today and put us in an early hole," said Endicott men's tennis head coach Jeremy Howard. "With that being said, I was happy with our compete level. I'm excited to see what the rest of the conference season brings."

Endicott (4-5, 0-1 CCC) will travel to rival Gordon College on Tuesday, March 27 at 3:30 PM. Nichols (6-2, 1-0 CCC) heads to Salve Regina on Tuesday, March 27 for a 3:30 PM matchup.
