BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's tennis team played in the inaugural North Shore Invitational on Saturday, which was co-hosted by Endicott and Gordon College. The North Shore Invitational also featured teams such as Holy Cross, Southern New Hampshire, Bates, Babson, Colby and Colby-Sawyer.
Highlighting the day for the Gulls were Christopher Kirkpatrick (Newburyport, Mass.), Daniel Rinkert (Ben Lomond, Calif.), Thomas Brent (Gorham, Maine), Christos Papadopoulos (Weymouth, Mass.), Charles Book (Devon, Pa.), Matthew Doherty (Plymouth, Mass.), and Anthony Rinaldi (Attleboro Falls, Mass.) who all picked up at least one win throughout the tournament.

"What a great day for tennis," said Endicott men's tennis head coach Jeremy Howard. "I'd like to thank Gordon head coach Pete Amadon and their athletics department for hosting — along with our staff — and all the teams who competed in the tournament on Saturday.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Kirkpatrick defeated Mason Casady (Gordon College), 8-3, in the Flight A Consolation singles round.
- Rinkert beat Ross Kenney (Colby-Sawyer), 8-0, in the Flight B Quarterfinals singles round and also earned a win with Book in the Flight B Quarterfinals doubles round against Alex Wright/Ross Kenney (Colby-Sawyer), 8-4.
- Brent posted an 8-4 victory over Tom Cimini (Holy Cross) in Flight C Consolation singles and also notched an 8-3 triumph in Flight C Consolation doubles with Doherty against Cimini/Johnny McAuliffe.
- Papadopoulos claimed an 8-4 win at Flight D Consolation singles over Cam Lynch (Colby-Sawyer) and an 8-7 (10-8) victory with Rinaldi in Flight D Quarterfinals doubles versus Connor Chin/Scott Riester (Babson College).
