BEVERLY, Mass. – The fifth-seeded Endicott men's tennis team will travel to fourth-seeded Roger Williams this Saturday at 11 AM to take on the Hawks in the quarterfinal round of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament.

THE MATCHUP: Roger Williams defeated Endicott, 6-3, at home in the regular season on April 9. The Hawks claimed a 2-1 lead at the conclusion of doubles, and clinched its fourth CCC victory of the season, at the time, with a 7-6 (10-8), 7-6 (7-5) win at No. 2 singles despite trailing 3-2 in singles at one point. WHAT TO WATCH FOR: The doubles portion of this Saturday's postseason matchup will be key. In the regular season, the Gulls lost in a tie-break at No. 1 by a 9-8 (7-4) score, and also dropped No. 2 doubles, 8-5. If Endicott can swing, at minimum, a 2-1 advantage out of doubles than Saturday's outcome may look a lot different in comparison to earlier this season.

HOW THEY GOT HERE: Endicott posted an 11-7 overall record and 5-3 conference mark this season. In conference play, the Gulls notched wins against Western New England (9-0), Salve Regina (9-0), Curry (8-1), Eastern Nazarene (5-4), and Wentworth (9-0). Eastern Nazarene earned the No. 1 seed in the tournament, while Nichols claimed the No. 2 spot.

Meanwhile, Roger Williams went 9-7 overall on the year and 5-3 in conference. The Hawks earned league wins versus Western New England (8-1), Curry (9-0), Wentworth (9-0), Endicott (6-3), and Salve Regina (9-0).

ALL-CONFERENCE HONOREES: Both teams had four student-athletes represented on the All-CCC Teams, respectively. Endicott All-Conference Honorees | Roger Williams All-Conference Honorees.

WHAT'S NEXT: The winner of Saturday's match will advance to the CCC Tournament semifinals and face No. 1 seed Eastern Nazarene on Wednesday, May 3 on the road at a time to be determined later.
