Men’s Tennis Stymies Wentworth On Senior Day, 9-0

MIDDLETON, Mass. – The Endicott men's tennis team celebrated Senior Day with a 9-0 victory over Wentworth on Tuesday evening at the Northeast Tennis Center. Today's match was moved indoors due to inclement weather.

Prior to today's match, Sean McAndrews (Vineyard Haven, Mass.) was honored for his contributions towards the men's tennis program and the Endicott Community in a pre-match ceremony.

The Gulls breezed through doubles action as Nicholas Eherts (New Milford, Conn.) and Jack DeRizzo (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) opened up the match with an 8-1 victory at No. 3, before McAndrews and Justin Toler (Concord, N.H.) followed with an identical score at No. 2. Christopher Kirkpatrick (Newburyport, Mass.) and Keaton McCleary (Charlotte, N.C.) wrapped up the doubles portion of today's contest with an 8-4 win at No. 1.

In singles play, Kirkpatrick pushed Endicott ahead 4-0 in the match with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph at No. 1, while Toler clinched the victory with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 3. Endicott also saw Charles Book (Devon, Pa.) post a 6-4, 6-4 victory at No. 2, and Thomas Brent (Gorham, Maine), DeRizzo, and Anthony Rinaldi (Attleboro Falls, Mass.) pick up wins at No. 2 (6-4, 6-4), No. 5 (6-0, 6-3), and No. 6 (8-2), respectively.
