Men's Soccer Plays To A Draw Against Curry, 1-1 (20T)

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's soccer team battled to a 1-1 double overtime draw against Curry on Friday night at Hempstead Stadium.

Endicott got on the scoreboard first (38:21) when Codan Foley's (Carver, Mass.) hard cross from the right wing deflected off a Curry defender and into the net.

From there, Curry's Giovanni Martins (Brockton, Mass.) found the equalizer off a rebound at the doorstep with 10:02 remaining to force overtime and the eventual tie.

Meanwhile, in goal for the Gulls, Zach Regulbuto (Somers, Conn.) accumulated three saves in his third start to push his record to 1-1-1 on the season.

BEYOND THE BOX

  • Endicott is now 23-3-1 all-time against Curry.
  • The Gulls are 4-0-1 against the Colonels in their last five meetings.
  • Regalbuto has 11 saves in three games.
  • Both teams did record a shot on goal in both overtimes.
  • Endicott compiled more than 20 shots for the first time this season (EC 29-CC 12 | SOG, EC 11 - CC 4).

Endicott (1-2-2) is back on the road versus Connecticut College (0-1) on Tuesday, September 21 at 4 PM. Curry (2-1-2) returns home next Tuesday to take on Emmanuel (4-1) at 7 PM.
