
WORCESTER, Mass. — The Endicott men's soccer team fell to WPI, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Stadium.
WPI jumped out to an early lead just 16 seconds into the contest when Franco Bazzini (San Juan, Puerto Rico) scored on a penalty kick.
From there, the Engineers never looked back after adding another goal before the end of the half (41:10) courtesy of Matthew Biando (Duluth, Ga.).
Junior goalkeeper Zach Regulbuto (Somers, Conn.) started (0-1) for the Gulls and collected four saves.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The all-time series between the two programs is now knotted up at 2-2-1.
- WPI is 2-0 at home this season.
- The Engineers have not given up a goal so far during their 2021 campaign.
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott (0-2-1) returns to Hempstead Stadium on Sunday, September 12 against Framingham State (0-4-0) at 5 PM. WPI (3-0) plays host to St. Joesph's (Me.) on Tuesday, September 14.
