NEWPORT, R.I — The Endicott men's soccer team fell 3-2 in double overtime to Salve Regina in the CCC Championship on Saturday afternoon.
Salve captured the game-winning goal in the second overtime through an Endicott own goal.
The Seahawks saw Alessandro Oggiano (Stoughton, Mass.) score twice in the game.
Meanwhile, Evan Couchot (Mason, Ohio) and William Poreda (Duxbury, Mass.) found the back of the net for the Gulls.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Gabriel Chaves (Secaucus, New Jersey) had the assist on the Poreda goal.
- Zach Regulbuto (Somers, Conn.) made nine saves in net for the Gulls.
- The Senior Class of Jesse Martinez (Walpole, Mass.) Jon Breed (Atkinson, N.H.) and Couchot finished with one CCC championship, two appearances in the CCC championship game, and two appearances in the CCC semifinals.
WHAT'S NEXT
Salve Regina (14-4-3) earned a bid into the NCAA Division III men's soccer tournament. Endicott sees their season come to an end at 12-6-2.
