Endicott Nichols Play to 1-1 (2OT) Tie

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's soccer team and Nichols College, played to a 1-1 double-overtime tie on Saturday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium.

At halftime of today's contest, Seniors Evan Couchot (Mason, Ohio), Jesse Martinez (Walpole, Mass.), and Jon Breed (Atkinson, N.H.) were all honored for their contributions towards the men's soccer program and the Endicott community in a senior day ceremony.

Just one minute into the second half, Breed picked up his first goal of the season to put the Gulls up 1-0.

Meanwhile, the Bison's Jacob Sargent (Bolton, Conn.) scored his eighth goal of the season tieing the game at one in the 51st minute.

Both teams had strong chances throughout the rest of regulation and overtime, but neither could find the back of the net. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Breed's goal was the first of his Endicott career. 
  • Endicott goalkeeper Zach Regulbuto (Somers, Conn.) made four saves in net.
  • The Gulls outshot the Bison 21-11.
  • Gabriel Chaves (Secaucus, N.J.) and Arian Pilja (Arlington, Mass.) paced the offense for Endicott each recording five shots.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (7-3-2, 2-0-2 CCC) travels to Roger Williams on Tuesday, October 15 for a 4 PM contest. Nichols (8-4-2, 1-2-1 CCC) hosts Wentworth on Wednesday, October 16 at 3 PM.
