Men's Soccer Blanks Gordon, 3-0; Couchot Eclipses 100 Career Point Mark

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott men's soccer team defeated Gordon College, 3-0, to open Homecoming and Family Weekend on Friday evening at Hempstead Stadium.

The Gulls got on the scoresheet first in the 32nd minute when Arian Pilja (Arlington, Mass.) swung in a left-footed cross from the right flank that found the head of William Poreda (Duxbury, Mass.) at the far post to give Endicott a 1-0 lead.

Evan Couchot (Mason, Ohio) also added two goals in the second half (one pk) to seal the Gulls' victory. Additionally, Couchot's two goals pushed him over the 100 career point mark (101, 46g, 9a). 

Meanwhile, Zach Regulbuto (Somers, Conn.) made four saves to earn his third clean sheet of the season.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is now unbeaten in its last three games.
  • Couchot registered his 12th career multi-goal game in tonight's win.
  • Poreda's goal was his first collegiate goal.
  • The Gulls have now won three straight against the Fighting Scots.

Endicott (4-3-1, 1-0-1) travels to Babson on Tuesday, October 1 for a 3:30 PM match. Gordon (1-6-1, 0-2-0) travels to Wheaton on Tuesday, October 1 for a 4 PM match.
