Men’s Soccer Tops Wheaton, 1-0

NORTON, Mass. — The Endicott men's soccer team defeated Wheaton College, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon at Keefe Field.

Arian Pilja's (Arlington, Mass.) first goal of the season at the 32:28 mark of the game was the difference as the Gulls held strong the rest of the way.

Meanwhile, Endicott goalkeeper Zach Regulbuto (Somers, Conn.) made three saves including one with just two minutes left in the game.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • This was the first meeting between the two sides since 2001. 
  • This afternoon's clean sheet was the first of Regulbuto's career.
  • Pilja's goal was the third of his career (second game-winner).

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (2-2) will host WPI on Tuesday, September 17 at 7 PM. Wheaton (3-3) will travel to No. 1 nationally ranked Tufts on Tuesday, September 17 for a 7 PM start.
