Al Khalifa and Slobotzky Selected to 2015 NEISL Senior All-Star Match

BEVERLY, Mass.- Senior forwards Abdulla Al Khalifa (Riffa, Bahrain) and Diego Slobotzky (Mexico City, Mexico) have been selected as two of 44 student-athletes to compete in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League (NEISL) Senior All-Star game on Sunday, November 29 at Brandeis University at 1:00 p.m.

The Endicott men's soccer team is proud to send Al Khalifa and Slobotzky, as they are the first student-athletes from Endicott to ever play in this senior match. Al Khalifa and Slobotzky will join Ryan Madden of Curry College, James Sheldon of Roger Williams University, and Colin Macdonald of Western New England University as representatives of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC).

In four full seasons playing for the Gulls, Al Khalifa has totaled 52 points on 21 goals and 10 assists to rank second all-time in program history in career goals and third in career points. Al Khalifa recorded a team-leading 28 points (12 goals, four assists) to lead the Gulls and tied for first with four game-winning goals on his way to earning All-CCC First Team honors in his career-high senior season. Al Khalifa registered a career-high five points in a single match vs. Mount Ida in the ECAC Quarterfinals on Nov. 11, 2015. Al Khalifa finished in a three-way tie in the CCC this season in goals and was first in points.

Slobotzky was named to the All-CCC Second Team for his efforts on this pitch this season, as he was second on the team with eight goals and tied for second in points (20) and assists (4), while pacing the squad with 64 shots. Slobotzky recorded his first career hat trick in the team's 3-0 win over UMass Dartmouth on Sept. 29, 2015.

In his four years for the Blue and Green, Slobotzky has amassed 20 goals, 11 assists and 51 points and ranks first in the program all-time in career shots (171) and shots per game (2.59), tied for third in career goals and fourth in total points. Slobotzky was an All-CCC First Team selection in 2014.

Endicott (16-3-4) finished as the runners-up in both the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship and the Eastern College Athletic Association (ECAC) Division III New England Championship to round out the best season in program history in wins (16), points (120), points per game (5.22), goals (43), goals per game (1.87), game-winning goals (16), assists (34), assists per game (1.48), shots on goal (156), save percentage (.870), goals against average (0.62), and shutouts (13).
