ECAC DIII NEW ENGLAND CHAMPIONSHIP BRACKET

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has released their field of eight for the 2015 Men's Soccer Division III New England Region Championship.

After tallying a program-best 15 wins, the No. 1 seeded Gulls ultimately fell, 2-0, to No. 3 seeded Gordon College in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) title game. However, the Endicott men's soccer team's season is still alive as they have earned the No. 1 seed in the upcoming ECAC Tournament.

The tournament will begin on Wednesday, November 11 for the quarterfinal round with the semifinals and championship games taking place on Saturday, November 14 and Sunday, November 15 at the highest seed remaining in the tournament.

The Gulls earned the top spot in the tournament as Endicott (15-2-3) will host No. 8 seeded Mount Ida College (12-6-1) who finished their GNAC postseason run with a 3-2 loss to conference runner-up Albertus Magnus in the Semifinals. The Gulls and the Mustangs have never met in program history as the Blue and Green will look to defend their 2014 ECAC title. The two squads faced two common opponents this season in Roger Williams and Lasell. The Gulls downed Lasell, 3-0, on September 15 and bested Roger Williams, 1-0, on September 26. Mount Ida fell, 2-0, to Roger Williams on September 1 and won twice against Lasell, 2-1 on October 24 and 2-1 (OT) on November 1 in the GNAC Quarterfinals.

The Endicott men's soccer program has made two previous appearances in the ECAC tournament in 2011 and 2012, before winning it all in 2014 with a 2-1 overtime win over Colby-Sawyer on Nov. 16, 2014.
