Weinstein Receives CCC Defensive Player of the Week Award

CCC WEEKLY RELEASE

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Junior goalkeeper Nick Weinstein (Trumbull, Conn.) earned his fourth Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Defensive Player of the Week honor as announced earlier today by the conference office.

Weinstein posted his tenth clean sheet of the season and became the program's all-time wins leader in a  single season (12) in Endicott's 1-0 victory on Wednesday against the No. 11 ranked NCAA New England Region Wentworth Leopards.

The Gulls extended their unbeaten streak to 12 straight matches, as Weinstein made eight saves, good for his second-most in a single match all season.

Weinstein still paces the CCC in goals against average (0.51) and fewest goals allowed (8).

(Note: Weinstein missed the team's 1-1 double-overtime draw against Salve Regina as the team pushed their unbeaten streak to 13.)

Endicott (12-1-3, 7-0-1 CCC) will host Gordon College on Tuesday, October 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Hempstead Stadium in the final match of the regular season.
