Itoh Earns Second Straight CCC Offensive Player Of The Week Award

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Endicott senior midfielder Shintaroh Itoh (Nerima, Tokyo, Japan) has earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Offensive Player of the Week accolades for his play in a 1-0-1 week for the Gulls from October 12-18.

Itoh recorded one goal and one assist in a huge 3-2 overtime win at home over Western New England University on Saturday as the Gulls became the last undefeated team in Commonwealth Coast Conference play (6-0-0). Itoh netted the game-winning goal in the 97th minute, his second game-winner in the last three matches and third game-winning goal of the 2015 season.

Itoh is currently second in the CCC in assists (7) and registered at least one goal and one assist in a single match for the second time this season.

Itoh has now received CCC Offensive Player of the Week accolades twice this season after he led the Gulls to a 2-0 week from October 5-11. During the aforementioned week,  Itoh tallied one goal and one assist to push Endicott's win streak to nine straight games. Itoh picked up his sixth assist of the season to aid Endicott in its a 1-0 win over Salem St. and also scored the game-winning goal against Curry last Saturday in a 2-1 double-overtime thriller.

Endicott (11-1-2, 6-0 CCC) will welcome Wentworth on Wednesday, October 21 at 4:00 p.m. at Hempstead Stadium.
