BRISTOL, R.I. –
The Endicott men’s soccer team took on the \#21 ranked and CCC rival Roger Williams on the road Saturday afternoon and tied the Hawks 0-0 through two overtimes.

The Gulls (3-6-3, 1-2-2 CCC) maintained their four-match unbeaten streak and currently stand in seventh place in the conference heading into their Wednesday CCC tilt against Eastern Nazarene at 4:00 pm at Endicott Stadium.  The Hawks (9-1-3, 3-0-2 CCC) will travel to Western New England at 4:00 pm for another conference showdown.

The first half of the game saw the teams struggle to get any momentum going offensively. With strong defense for both teams, Roger Williams and Endicott combined for only seven shots in the first half.

The offensive pace began to pick up in the second half, with 19 shots taken between both teams in the period.  Endicott saw sophomore midfielder Ryan D’Amico (Marlborough, Conn.) fire three shots, all of which sailed wide of the Roger Williams net.  D’Amico attempt a deep free kick ball in the 85th minute that was headed out by a Hawks defender to keep the game scoreless.

In the first OT, the best opportunity for a game-winner came in the 97th minute on a through-ball up the middle.  Michael MacLeay (Epping, N.H.), however, made a good clear on the ball to keep the Hawks off the board.

The second OT saw the Hawks make a strong rally in the final minutes, having a pair of crosses and a long pass in the top of the box grabbed snatched out of the air by Kanter. Kanter would later snag the loose ball in the box off of a corner kick in the final minute to clinch the tie.

Kanter stopped four shots in the game for Endicott, while Jon Pelloso (Wilbraham, Mass.) also made four saves.
