Goldman delivers with game-winner at Salve Regina
NEWPORT, R.I. - Senior midfielder Nick Goldman (South Windsor, Conn.) lifted the Endicott men’s soccer team  to their second win in-a-row with a game-winning goal in the 78th minute, beating Salve Regina 4-3 on the road.

Endicott’s offense exploded for four goals in this match, building a two-goal lead in the second half.  Salve Regina was able to tie the game with back-to-back goals by freshman midfielder Zachary Kraft (Tenafly, N.J.) but Goldman’ strike, with an assist from freshman Stephen Joyce (Rome, N.Y.), ended the match and gave the Blue and Green a much needed conference win.  The goal was Goldman’s first of the season.

Endicott keeper Aaron Kanter (Medfield, Mass.) made four saves in net to improve his goalie record to 2-2-1.
Gulls senior Jared Rizzo (Peabody, Mass.) netted his second goal of the season at the 9:08 mark of the first half, an unassisted goal, to give Endicott an early 1-0 lead.
The Seahawks would tie the match on an unassisted goal by Sean McAllister (North Arlington, N.J.).

After intermission, freshman midfielder Ben Streib (Ellington, Conn.) gave the Gulls a 3-1 lead with a pair of goals at 46:54 and 54:23, his second and third goals of the season. Salve Regina’s Zachary Kraft (Tenafly, N.J.) scored two goals tied the score at 3-3, but Goldman ended the tie just four minutes later.

Kanter turned in one more save than his counterpart, but it was a defensive save by his junior back Michael MacLeay (Epping, N.H.) that kept the Seahawks from tying the score after Goldman's goal.

Endicott returns home to host St. Joseph's (ME) on Tuesday at 6:30 pm at Endicott Stadium.
