NEWPORT, RI - Junior Benjamin Graves (Peterborough, NH/Conval) scored off a rebounded shot in the 89th minute to lift Endicott College over Salve Regina University, 2-1, in The Commonwealth Coast Conference men's soccer action Wednesday.
Endicott (2-11-3, 2-8-2 TCCC) got pressure on net when sophomore Shaun Martin (Salisbury, MA/St. Thomas Aquinas) fired a low hard shot that Seahawk goalie Seth Nagle (Acton, MA) was able to block. Graves was able to get to the carom and get off the winning shot in traffic.
Graves also assisted on Endicott's first goal, when senior Joe Scarbo (Milton, MA/Milton) put the Gulls on the board in the third minute.
Salve Regina (5-8-1, 3-8-1 TCCC) evened the score on a goal by sophomore Gregory Cannon (Marshfield, MA) in the 80th minute. Freshman Jim Dean (Colonia, NJ) provide the assist on the score.
Senior Cameron Twiss (Reading, MA/Bishop Fenwick) made six saves in net to record the victory for Endicott. His counterpart, Nagle, made seven stops for the Seahawks.
