Bell Leads Roger Williams over Endicott

Sept. 15, 2007

BRISTOL, RI - Two Thousand and Six Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Year Antoine Bell (Bordeaux, France/Bridgton Academy) scored the game's only goal to lead the Roger Williams Hawks to a 1-0 win over Endicott.

Bell's third goal of the season came at the 4:20 mark of the first half as he received a feed from Brandon O'Donovan (Coram, NY/Longwood) and beat EC goalkeeper Scott Emmens (Wethersfield, CT/Wethersfield) for what would be the game winner. Emmens made five saves on 13 shots for the Gulls while Dan Ruscigno (Wappingers Falls, NY/John Jay) made two saves on 11 shots for the Hawks.

Pranam Lipinski (Adams, MA/Hoosac Valley) and Bryan Lee (Rockport, MA/Rockport) both played well for the Blue and Green as Lipinski squeezed off three shots and was a strong force in the midfield. Meanwhile, Lee managed four shots and assisted the offense from the back.

The loss drops the Gulls 0-3-1 overall and 0-2 in TCCC play while the Hawks improve to 1-4-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the Conference. Endicott returns to action on Wednesday September 19, at 3:30 pm when the Gulls make their home debut vs. the Colby-Sawyer Chargers at Endicott Stadium.
