Gulls Break Losing Streak Versus Gordon with 0-0 Tie

Oct. 16, 2003

Beverly, MA- In a heated match up, the Gulls faced local conference rival Gordon last night under the lights at Endicott Stadium and played to a scoreless tie.

It was an evenly matched game for Gordon and Endicott, who are currently 3rd and 4th place in the CCC respectively. Defense was the name of the game as both teams allowed only 9 shots on net throughout the entire contest (including the two overtimes).

Daniel Duvernoy perfected Endicott's game plan marking last year's CCC Rookie of the Year, Matt Smith, allowing him only a handful of touches and 2 shots on net.

Coach Franciosa was impressed with the play of Duvernoy, Ryan Vigilant at defense, and Josh Lewis in front who took 3 of the Gulls 9 shots.

The Gulls play again this Saturday at 7pm under the lights versus New England College as part of Endicott's Homecoming Weekend.
