Donar Returns with a Shut-Out

Oct. 8, 2003

Mitch Donar returned to the net yesterday after sitting out for 2 weeks with a hand injury to help lead the Gulls to victory over Eastern Nazarene. This was Donar's 5th shut out in as many wins.

The Gulls lit up the scoreboard with 11 minutes left in the first half as Josh Lewis deflected the ball to John Haskos who buried it into the back of the net.

In second half play, Haskos' break away resulted in a open net shot for Mariano Pagano to give the Gulls a 2-0 lead in the 67th minute.

Endicott dominated the field out shooting Eastern Nazarene 18-7. Donar recorded 2 saves in the shut out, while Daniel Gonzalo collected 6 on the other end.

Gulls Coach, Stefano Franciosa was happy with the play of Daniel Duvernoy and Haskos in midfiield, Ryan Vigilant in back, and Lewis up front.

The Gulls head to Paxton, MA kicking off versus Anna Maria at 3:00 Saturday, October 11th.
