With only 19 minutes to go in the 2nd half junior forward Mariano Pagano deflected in a shot by senior midfielder John Haskos to score the only goal of the game and lift the Gulls over the Salem State Vikings 1-0.
The Gulls, who are now 2-2 overall, 1-2 in the conference, outshot the Vikings 16-4, and held an 8-4 corner kick advantage. Senior goalkeeper Mitch Donar faced only one Salem State shot in the shutout.
This was a big win for second year EC Head Coach Stefano Franciosa, coaching against his alma mater. Salem State fell to (1-1) with the loss, after shutting out Curry College 4-0 on Saturday.
Endicott College will be away again this weekend at conference opponent Curry College. Kick off starts at 1:00 this Saturday, September 13th.
