Desmond Crowley enters his fifth season as an assistant coach with the Endicott club men's rugby program in 2023-24. Crowley works primarily as the Gulls' defense and skills coach.

Crowley brings an impressive rugby resume to the staff, highlighted by his 25-plus years of playing experience and numerous coaching positions and certifications.

Among his playing accomplishments, Crowley captained the Wanderers FC Junior Team (Dublin, Ireland), which reached several quarters and semifinal stages in knockout cup matches.

His coaching positions include North Shore RFC (2003-07), Wentworth (2008-09), and youth rugby U-8 through U-19 programs from 2009 until present. Most notably, Crowley coached the Mass. Youth Rugby Organization junior varsity team to the 2014 New England Challenge Cup Championship title.

Meanwhile, his coach certifications/credentials include his USA Rugby Level 300 certification, numerous coaching clinic experiences, and a NERFU Referee Course, among many other certifications.

Most importantly, however, Crowley's biggest accomplishment lies in his promotion of the sport. Crowley has started up several youth programs on the North Shore in areas such as Danvers, Machester-by-the-Sea, and Salem.
