Men’s Rugby Claims No. 6 Spot In Final NSCRO Top-40 National Rankings

NSCRO NATIONAL RANKINGS RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. –  After boasting a 25-4 overall record in the 2018-19 season, the Endicott men's rugby team has been ranked No. 6 in the final National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) Top-40 National Rankings, as announced by the organization earlier today.

Teams were selected from over 200 NSCRO men's teams competing in a 15s league with input from NSCRO Team coaches, league and playoff results, the strength of schedule, NSCRO playoff results and input from NSCRO officials present at the playoff events.

Last season, Endicott finished the year ranked No. 34 in the final NSCRO Top-40 National Rankings. This year's No. 6 ranking marked a 28-spot improvement from last year's final poll and is the highest national ranking in program history for the Gulls in a year-end poll.

Meanwhile, Endicott's 2018-19 season featured a 45-12 win over then-No. 1 nationally ranked Salve Regina University to capture the Colonial Coast Rugby Conference (CCRC) championship. The Gulls also beat the Seahawks later in the year for the NSCRO Northeast Regional championship by a 64-15 score and finished fourth overall at the NSCRO 15s Champions Cup National Championship.
