No. 27 Men’s Rugby Goes 4-0 At The Battle Of The Bay 7s Tournament

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The No. 27 nationally ranked Endicott club men's rugby team posted a 4-0 record at the Battle of the Bay 7s Tournament, hosted by Johnson & Wales University, on Sunday afternoon.

Endicott defeated Southern Connecticut State (29-0), Salve Regina (38-15), host Johnson & Wales (28-7) and Stonehill (36-0) en route to its perfect 4-0 day. The Gulls outscored their opponents 131-22 and recorded two shutouts on the day.

"The Boys played well and most importantly we got lots of playing time for the whole squad," said Endicott club men's rugby head coach Dave Kenkel. "For scoring six tries and making some try-saving tackles the Man of the Match is Jesse Adelberg (Old Greenwich, Conn.)!"
