Men's rugby huddles up before a game.

FARMINGTON, ME.  The Endicott club men's rugby team suffered a heartbreaking loss to the University of Maine Farmington in its first-round matchup in the NSCRO Championship Tournament on Saturday, 35-26.

The Gulls fought hard to overcome the strong offensive play of the Beavers, however, their efforts just came up short.

"The boys had a valiant effort but came up short against a very spirited UMaine-Farmington squad," said Endicott club men's rugby head coach Dave Kenkel. "Tries were scored by Marc Lerebours (Norwalk, Conn.), Nate Viveiros (Attleboro, Mass.), Nick Iavicoli (Kalispell, Mont.), and Jarod Perry (Haddam, CT). It was a great season and I look forward to watching some of our young players develop."
