CCRC CHAMPIONSHIP: Endicott Falls To Salve Regina, 37-3

Men's rugby team huddles up.

CANTON, Mass. The Endicott club men's rugby team came up short last Sunday against Salve Regina in the CCRC Championship, 37-3.

Although suffering their first defeat of the season, the Gulls put forth a great effort throughout the match. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to hold back the Seahawks who took control of the game for the majority of the second half.

"Salve played well and my congratulations go out to their players, coaches, and fans," said Endicott club men's rugby head coach Dave Kenkel. "We look forward to our opportunity in next week's playoff match. Man of the Match goes to Andrew DeHaven (Hollis, N.H.) for his 80 minutes of relentlessness and putting pressure on Salves scrums."

WHAT'S NEXT

Despite the loss, the Gulls' (6-1) season will continue to play next Saturday, November 11 when they face off in their regional competition against the New England Rugby Football Union (NERFU) runner-ups, the University of Maine-Farmington at 1 PM.
