Gulls Fall To Plymouth State In CCRC Opener

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Endicott men's rugby team opened up the 2016 season with a Colonial Coast Rugby Conference (CCRC) matchup against Plymouth State falling 31-10 to the Panthers.

The Gulls jumped out to an early 7-0 lead before the Panthers got on the board with a score and penalty kick to make it 10-7 at the half. Plymouth was able to increase its lead to 17-7 in the second half before Endicott responded bringing it to 17-10 late in the match.

"We had a ton of possesions but at times did not make good use of the ball," said Endicott men's rugby head coach Dave Kenkel. "Several pressed decisions at the end created a lopsided score."

The Gulls saw significant contributions from many players but Marc Lerebours (Norwalk, Conn.) stood out for the Gulls as the "Man of the Match".

On the second side, the Gulls earned a  24-5 victory with Andrew Weiser (Plainview, N.Y.) earning "Man of The Match".

Endicott will take the field next on Sunday, October 25th as they host Boston University for a 3:00 p.m. matchup at Hempstead Stadium.
