Men's Lacrosse Routs Nichols On Senior Day, 24-4

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's lacrosse team defeated Nichols, 24-4, in conference action on Saturday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium. 

Prior to the game, Tim Carlson (Hebron, Conn.), Craig Claflin (Natick, Mass.), Kevin Flowers (Andover, Mass.), Ryan Fincher (Westport, Conn.), Will Levine (Southborough, Mass.), and Max Maggipinto (Westfield, Mass.) were all honored for their contributions to the Endicott College community and the program as part of a Senior Day ceremony.

As for the contest, the Blue and Green saw 14 different student-athletes find the back of the net in the dominating victory. 

Domenic Russo (Northborough, Mass.) led all scorers via a career-high-tying six goals. 

Nick Pagluiso (Shelton, Conn.) also produced a hat-trick, while Nate Cuttitta (Williston, Vt.), Michael Hauptman (Medfield, Mass.), and Claflin rounded out the list of multi-goal scorers for the Gulls with two apiece. 

In goal, Tim Luciano (Westport, Conn.) earned the win (7-3) by recording four saves in the first half of play. 

Christopher Tillotson (Monroe, Conn.) turned away four shots in 23:14 of action and Daniel Burger (Rockville Centre, N.Y.) stopped two shots in the final 6:43 of the game. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is undefeated in the all-time series against Nichols (24-0). 
  • Russo has scored six goals three times in his collegiate career. 
  • The Gulls saw 10 student-athletes score at least once.  
  • Thomas Barker (Needham, Mass.)Ethan Cupples (Marshfield, Mass.), Stefano Fabiano (Wakefield, Mass.), Zach Hojnowski (Somers, Conn.), and Brian McDonald (Monroe, N.Y.) all scored their first collegiate goals.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (7-5, 6-1 CCC) travels to Wentworth on Wednesday, April 27 at 7 PM. Nichols (7-10, 3-5 CCC) returns to action on Saturday, April 30 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament quarterfinal round. The postseason bracket will be announced by the conference office next week.
