Dean, Yannone Earn CCC Player Of The Week Honors

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's lacrosse team saw Patrick Dean (Westhampton, N.Y.) and Derek Yannone (Lynnfield, Mass.) selected as Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Players of the Week. Dean was named Defensive Player of the Week, while Yannone was selected as Specialist of the Week for the fifth time this season. 

Dean earned a pair of wins in goal for Endicott this week. First, he secured the victory in a non-conference matchup with Babson. He made nine saves in the contest as the Gulls cruised to the 11-5 win. Dean followed that up with 10 saves in an 18-8 CCC victory over Wentworth. Overall, the Gulls goaltender posted a 4.92 goals-against average and a 67.9 save percentage.

Yannone won 81.1 percent (30-for-37) of his faceoff chances this week as the Gulls picked up wins against Babson and Wentworth. Yannone went 16-for-19 at the X against the Beavers, before winning 14 of 18 against the Leopards. He also collected 26 ground balls this week.
