Springfield Doubles Up Men's Lacrosse, 8-4

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's lacrosse team fell to Springfield College, 8-4, on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at Hempstead Stadium.

The Gulls offense was led by Andrew Soucy (Andover, Mass.), Sam Abate (Beverly, Mass.), Will Clark (Burnt Hills, N.Y.), and Mike Sudora (Monroe, Conn.) as all four student-athletes contributed one goal in the contest.

Nick Arcadipane (Groveland, Mass.) and James Loughran (Cos Cob, Conn.) each posted an assist on the afternoon, while Derek Yannone (Lynnfield, Mass) won 12 faceoffs and snagged eight groundballs to round out the list of offensive highlights.

In net, Patrick Dean (Westhampton, N.Y.) kept Endicott in the matchup with a 16 save performance in between the pipes.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott holds an 8-7 advantage in the all-time series. Springfield now have won the last four meetings between programs. 
  • Springfield ended three-game losing streak entering today's action. 
  • Dean came up big in the third quarter recording seven of his 16 saves in the frame.
  • That held the score at 6-3 before the Pride added a pair of late goals in the fourth to the seal the victory.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (1-4) visits to Amherst College on Tuesday, March 19 at 4:30 PM. Springfield (2-3) travels to Colorado Springs, Colorado for a game against Sewanee on Thursday, March 21 at 2 PM (EST).
