CCC CHAMPIONSHIP: No. 2 Endicott, No. 1 Western New England Clash Again For League Title

BEVERLY, Mass. – The second-seeded Endicott men's lacrosse team will travel to first-seeded Western New England on Friday, May 4 at 4 PM to play for the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship at Golden Bear Stadium. Here's a preview of Friday's conference championship game.

THE MATCHUP: The last five CCC titles have been decided by the Endicott / Western New England matchup, and eight times total since 2008. Western New England enters Friday's tilt with a 12-10 record against Endicott in the all-time series, which dates back to 4/27/1996. The Golden Bears also won this year's regular season matchup on 4/7/18 by a 7-5 score on the road (BOX SCORE | RECAP).

SCOUTING ENDICOTT (ROSTER | SCHEDULE | STATS): In conference-only games, Endicott ranks third in goals (91), fifth in assists (50), third in goals per game (11.38), third in ground balls (291), second in caused turnovers (76), third in face-off wins (112), fifth in most clears (123), first in goals allowed (57) and goals against average (7.09).

SCOUTING WESTERN NEW ENGLAND (ROSTER | SCHEDULE | STATS): In conference-only games, Western New England ranks second in goals (92), first in assists (63), second in goals per game (11.50), fourth in ground balls (282), seventh in caused turnovers (60), second in most face-off wins (127), seventh in most clears (117), second in goals against (64) and goals against average (8.00).

WHAT'S AT STAKE

Along with winning the CCC Championship, the winner of Friday's CCC title matchup will earn an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
