BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's lacrosse team posted a 20-11 league victory over Curry College on Saturday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium on Senior Day.
Prior to today's game, seniors Colin Bannon (Westport, Conn.), Carter Glenn (Underhill, Vt.), Thomas Harvey (Huntington, N.Y.), Shane Hughes (York Beach, Maine), Tommy Hughes (Coram, N.Y.), Will Jennings (Danvers, Mass.), Pat Shelley (Poland, Maine), and Kenny Sturgess (Hampstead, N.H.) were all honored for their contributions towards the men's lacrosse program and the Endicott Community in a pre-game ceremony.
Jennings paced the Gulls in their seventh straight victory (7-6, 7-0 CCC) with seven goals, four assists, five ground balls, and two caused turnovers. Bryan McManus (Madison, Conn.) added four tallies, while freshman Will Clark (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) put together a career day with three goals and three assists for six points (all career-highs).
Luke Wallahan (Pleasant Hill, Calif.) and Teddy Hannon (Duxbury, Mass.) added two goals apiece, while Bannon also had one goal and dished out three assists. Connor Frazier (Reading, Mass.) rounded out the scoring with his first career goal with 3:55 left to play in the contest.
Grant Thompson (South Hamilton, Mass.) stopped eight shots in the win (7-3), and Shane O'Brien (East Falmouth, Mass.) had 15 saves in the loss (4-3).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 23-1 in the all-time series versus Curry.
- The Gulls erased an 8-7 deficit in the second half with a 7-0 run in the third quarter that spanned from the 11:20 mark to the 2:21 mark (8:59). Clark and Jennings both spearheaded the offensive spurt with two goals each.
- T. Hughes went 24-for-33 at the face-off X and scooped up a career-high 21 ground balls.
- Endicott went 14-for-15 on clears.
- Jennings fell one point shy of tying his single-game program record (12 vs. Nichols on April 5, 2017).
FOR THE FOES
- Dominick Marcella (Hull, Mass.) notched a team-high four goals.
- MJ Urbano (Wakefield, Mass.) finished second on the team with two tallies.
- Chris Bronander (Glen Ridge, N.J.) registered a game-high four caused turnovers.
