BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott seniors Tommy Hughes (Coram, N.Y.) and Will Jennings (Danvers, Mass.) have earned weekly awards from the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), as announced by the league office earlier today. Jennings was named the conference's Offensive Player of the Week, while Hughes picked up Specialist of the Week accolades for the second straight week.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jennings recorded a pair of hat tricks for Endicott in a 1-1 week for the Gulls. Jennings factored into six of Endicott's tallies in a close 12-10 loss to No. 10 Amherst. He scored three goals and dished out three assists. Later in the week, he brought his weekly point total to 10 with three goals and an assist in his team's CCC opener against Roger Williams, a 15-10 victory.
SPECIALIST OF THE WEEK
Hughes had another impressive showing at the X this week. He was 39-for-53 (73.6 percent) overall and went 24-for-28 (85.7 percent) in Endicott's 15-10 conference victory over Roger Williams. He also collected a game-high 17 ground balls in that contest and had 26 total ground balls for the week.
