BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's lacrosse team has been picked to finish second overall in the 2017 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) preseason coaches' poll, as voted upon by the league's nine head coaches.

Defending CCC champion Western New England University has been chosen to repeat after the Golden Bears received 79 points, including seven first place votes. Endicott ranked second with 74 points (two first place votes), while Roger Williams was selected third (62), the University of New England came in fourth (54), and Salve Regina rounded out the top-5 with 44 points.

Meanwhile, Wentworth followed in sixth (36), ahead of Curry (27), Gordon (15), and Nichols (14).

After falling to Western New England in last year's CCC championship game, the Endicott men's lacrosse team will look to flip the script on the Golden Bears in 2017.

The Gulls will aim to accomplish this by playing a loaded schedule this spring that includes six teams that reached the NCAA tournament last season including Tufts University, who advanced to the NCAA championship. Six of the teams on the schedule in 2017 are also ranked inside the top-20 in the Inside Lacrosse Preseason rankings: Tufts (5), Bowdoin (9), Bates (11), Amherst (13), Middlebury (16). This schedule will prepare the Gulls for another deep CCC Tournament run.
