CCC SEMIS: Endicott Dominates RWU, 15-6, To Advance To Title Game

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott junior attackman Will Jennings (Danvers, Mass.) tied the single-game goals record to lead the Gulls past Roger Williams University (RWU), 15-6, on a rainy Wednesday night in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament semifinals matchup at Hempstead Stadium.

Jennings potted a career-high eight goals – including five alone in the first half – to tie Josh Gilbert '07 (Simsbury, Conn.) and Kyle Weber '15 (West Hartford, Conn.) atop the program leaderboard. Jennings also dished out two assists in tonight's win to finish with 10 points, one shy of tying the single-game program record of 11 (Nick Cosco '09, Nick Pinciaro '15).

Along with Jennings' eight tallies, the Gulls received solo markers from Colin Bannon (Westport, Conn.), Matthew Faucher (Western Springs, Ill.), Peter Field Jr. (Hampstead, N.H.), Mitchell Tapley (Falmouth, Maine), Tommy Hughes (Coram, N.Y.), senior goalie Cameron Bell (Falmouth, Maine), and A.J. MacDonald (New Fairfield, Conn.).

Bannon also compiled five assists for the Gulls to highlight the remaining point-getters on the night.

Cam Donnelly (Medfield, Mass.) paced RWU offensively with a hat-trick, while AJ Core (Syosset, N.Y.) contributed one goal and a team-high two assists. Will Siefert (Duxbury, Mass.) and Max Cammarota (Redding, Conn.) rounded out the remaining goal scorers for the Hawks.

Endicott began tonight's CCC semifinals matchup on a 6-0 run, which stretched into the early goings of the second quarter, and never looked back. Jennings netted three of his game-high eight goals during the spurt before Donnelly finally broke up RWU's 17:42 scoreless streak with his sixth of the season at the 12:18 mark of the second quarter.

From there on out, the Gulls outscored the Hawks 9-5 to lock up the victory.

Bell, who scored a marvelous man-down goal at the 14:40 mark of the second after clearing the ball all by himself from Endicott's own defensive end, finished the contest with game-high 13 saves. Hawks' junior goalie Connor Carroll (Madison, Conn.) made two saves in the loss (9-8).
