CCC SEMIS: No. 2 Men’s Lacrosse Hosts No. 3 Roger Williams This Wednesday

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's lacrosse team will host Roger Williams University this Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament semifinals at Hempstead Stadium.

THE MATCHUP: In their only meeting earlier this season, Endicott junior attackman Will Jennings (Danvers, Mass.) potted the game-winning goal at the 2:53 mark of overtime to lift the Gulls past Roger Williams University, 9-8.

In a defensive-minded, possession-based game, Jennings led all goal scorers with three markers on the day. Colin Bannon (Westport, Conn.) added two goals and also dished out three assists for a game-high five points, while Peter Field Jr. (Hampstead, N.H.) also registered a pair of goals in the win. Thomas Harvey (Hungtington, N.Y.) and Matthew Faucher (Western Springs, Ill.) rounded out the scoring list for the Gulls with one goal apiece.

ENDICOTT (8-8, 7-1 CCC): The Gulls enter Wednesday's contest on a four-game winning streak with victories over Wentworth (11-7), Nichols (15-5), Roger Williams (9-8 OT), and the University of New England (13-11).

NEED TO KNOW

  • Nine of Endicott's games this season have been decided by two goals or less.
  • The Gulls rank first in the conference in face-off wins, and second in goals per game (12.56) and clearing (228-290).
  • Bannon (84) and Jennings (81) rank first and second in the conference in points.
  • Endicott is 20-5 in the all-time series against Roger Williams.

ROGER WILLIAMS (11-7, 6-2 CCC): The Hawks defeated Wentworth, 19-7, in the CCC quarterfinals last Saturday to advance to the semis against Endicott.
