Cameron Bell Becomes All-Time Wins Leader, Men’s Lacrosse Downs Nichols 15-5

DUDLEY, Mass. – Endicott senior goalie Cameron Bell (Falmouth, Maine) become the program's all-time wins leader on Wednesday evening as the Gulls defeated Nichols College, 15-5, at Vendetti Field.

Bell stopped five shots to surpass current Endicott men's lacrosse head coach and former three-time All-American Eric Hagarty on the all-time career wins list with his 49th victory earlier today.

Will Jennings (Danvers, Mass.) potted a game-high six goals and also dished out one assist, while Colin Bannon (Westport, Conn.) produced a reverse stat line (one goal, career-high six assists) in the Gulls' second straight win over a conference opponent.

Luke Wallahan (Pleasant Hill, Calif.) also added a pair of tallies, while Peter Field Jr. (Hampstead, N.H.), Cole McGarrigle (Norwell, Mass.), Carter Glenn (Underhill, Vt.), Thomas Harvey (Huntington, N.Y.), Matthew Faucher (Western Springs, Ill.), and Mitchel Tapley (Falmouth, Maine) netted solo markers for Endicott.

After Paul Tessier (Mirror Lake, N.H.) opened up the scoring for Nichols at 13:28 of the first, the Gulls put together a 5-0 run to separate themselves from the Bison for the remainder of the game. Endicott went on to close out the half with an 8-2 advantage, before outscoring Nichols 7-3 in the second half, and 4-0 alone in the third, to improve to 18-0 in the all-time series between the two programs.  

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Bannon now ranks fourth all-time in program history with 102 career assists after registering six in today's victory.
  • Matthew Holzinger (Fairfield, Conn.) notched a game-high three caused turnovers.
  • Endicott went 16-for-21 in transition. The Gulls have recorded 15 or more successful clears in six games this season.
  • The Gulls won the ground balls matchup, 32-28.

FOR THE FOES

  • Anthony Verville (Portland, Maine) paced the Bison with two goals.
  • The Bison went 13-for-23 at the face-off X.
  • Beau Laflamme (Bourne, Mass.) won all 13 (season-high) faceoffs in the loss.

Endicott (6-8, 5-1 CCC) travels to Roger Williams University this Saturday for a conference matchup at 3:30 p.m. Nichols (4-10, 0-6 CCC) visits the University of New England on Saturday at 1 p.m.
