BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott junior face-off specialist Tommy Hughes (Coram, N.Y.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Men's Lacrosse Specialist of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Last week, Hughes went 44-for-55 (80.0 percent) at the face-off X as the Gulls took on No. 14 Lynchburg and Springfield. The junior was bested at the X just eight times against Lynchburg (21-for-29) and three times against Springfield (23-for-26). He also recovered 22 ground balls and scored three goals on the week for the Gulls.
Endicott (2-5) hosts No. 4 nationally ranked Amherst on Tuesday, March 22 at 7 p.m.
