Endicott Climbs to #2 in New England; Gulls Maintain #15 National Rank

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's lacrosse team remains ranked 15th in NCAA Division III while climbing to #2 in New England according to this week's polls released by the USILA and NEILA. The Gulls went 1-1 over the past week, dropping an 18-13 decision to #9 Tufts on the road before taking care of Salve Regina 14-8 to maintain the team's standing atop the CCC leaderboard at 10-3 (6-0 CCC).

Undefeated RIT continues to lead the USILA Top-20 rankings, receiving 19 first place votes, and are followed by Stevens, Salisbury, Denison, and Washington to round out the top five. The Gulls trail Mary Washington for 14th by 25 votes and are trailed closely by York in 16th who are just four votes behind.

In the NEILA regional rankings, Endicott replaced Bowdoin as the #2 team in New England after the Polar Bears suffered two losses last week. One loss was to unranked Colby and the other to #19 Wesleyan. Bowdoin also dropped out of the top-20 with their two losses.

Tufts leads the NEILA Top-10 followed by Endicott, Wesleyan, Springfield, and Amherst.

Endicott has two important games at home this week against regionally-ranked opponents. The Gulls host the ninth-ranked team in New England and their opponent from last spring's CCC Championship, Western New England, on Tuesday night at 7:00 pm in the Stadium before hosting Bowdoin, ranked sixth in the region, on Saturday for Senior Day.
