CENTERVILLE, MA - Senior attackman Josh Gilbert (Simsbury, CT/Simsbury), who was named CCC Player of the Week on Monday, was awarded the New England Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday for his performance in the 19th ranked Gulls 2-0 stretch last week.
In his top offensive output of the season, Gilbert found the back of the net seven times in the Gulls hard-fought 13-11 victory over North Shore and Conference rival Gordon College. The senior attackman followed up his seven goal performance with three goals and two assists in Endicott's 20-4 trouncing over New England College last Saturday.
No. 19 Endicott returns to action on Wednesday evening as they play host to the University of New England. The Nor'easters have not fared well against the Gulls in recent years, as Endicott has outscored UNE, 64-4, in their last three meetings. Face-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM in Beverly, MA.
