Gulls Fly Into Third Straight CCC Title Game

BEVERLY, MA - Endicott College scored the first 11 goals of the game and cruised to a 19-4 victory over visiting Roger Williams University in the semifinals of the Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament, advancing to the CCC final for the third straight year.

Junior attackman Josh Gilbert (Simsbury, CT/Simsbury) netted four consecutive goals - five in the game - in the first quarter to power the top-seeded Gulls (13-4) past the No. 5 Hawks (7-8). Endicott will host Gordon College in the CCC Title game Saturday. If the EC women win its game tonight, the game will be at 12:00 PM, otherwise the first faceoff will be at 1:00.

Senior attackman Burt Fahy (Needham, MA/Needham) led Endicott with seven goals and one assist while senior midfielder Kevin Lally (Derry, NH/Pinkerton) added a goal and five helpers. Freshman attack Brandon Dube (Danvers, MA/Danvers) chipped in a goal and four assists in the win.

The Gulls got single goals from Taylor Wuenneman (Southington, CT/Avon Old Farms), who also dished out two assists, Dan Ryan (Billerica, MA/Billerica), Andrew Harding (Niskayuna, NY/Niskayuna), Alex Howe (Darien, CT/Darien) and Nick Cosco (Londonderry, NH/Londonderry).

Dave Hurley (Hanover, MA/Hanover) paced Roger Williams, netting two goals while Geoff Tucker (North Jupiter, FL/Jupiter), Dave Siegel (Jupiter, FL/Jupiter) and Joe Truncellito (Nutley, NJ/Nutley) all scored one goal apiece.
