Gulls Cruise Past Nichols 17-4

Beverly, MA The Endicott College men's lacrosse team continued their wining ways cruising past Commonwealth Coast Conference foe Nichols College 17-4.

The Gulls got out to a quick start against the Bison taking a 8-2 halftime lead. Senior Captain Burt Fahy (Needham, MA) put the Gulls on the board only 30 seconds into the game scoring his first of three goals on the day, Fahy also had one assist. The Gulls were paced by Junior Parker Sowles (Cumberland, ME) throughout the contest, Sowles finished the work day with five goals and one assist. Junior Kevin Lally (Derry, NH) set the Endicott College All-Time assist record in Endicott's previous win, continued dishing out assists to his teammates today against the Bison. Lally had four goals and three assists.

Freshman Erik Klaeboe (Greenwich, CT) and Sophomore Josh Gilbert each added a goal, while Klaeboe would also add one assist. Gilberts goal was assisted by Sophomore Alex Howe (Darien, CT). Senior Sam Chidester (Eliot, ME) would finish off the Gulls victory with three goals and one assist.

The Gulls high intensity defense was once again led by stellar goaltending from Senior Ryan Walsh (Weymouth, MA). Walsh was once again spectacular between the pipes closing out the game with 15 saves. Junior Jeff Pardue was called into action when Walsh received a penalty; Pardue made two saves during the man down penalty. Supporting Walsh was a close defensive unit of Senior Captain Josh Maciorowski (Guilford, CT), Junior Ryan Fraine (Billerica, MA), Junior Mike Clifford (Wilbraham, MA), Sophomore Patrick Gaffney (Worcester, MA) and Sophomore Rick Hancock (Wading River, NY). Junior Captain Jesse Blackwell (Concord, NH) short stick defensive midfielder led the Gulls on man down.

The win improves the Gulls overall record to 6-2 and 3-0 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference. The Gulls will travel to Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Wentworth on April 5th at 8:00pm.
