The Endicott Gulls flew by the Wentworth Leopards in a Commonwealth Coast Conference match up at Endicott Stadium. The Leopards took a one-goal lead 14 seconds into the game. However, the Gulls responded with an eleven-goal run that closed out the game, 11-1.
The Endicott Scoring was led by sophomore attackman Burt Fahy (Needham, MA) who tallied five goals and an assist to lead the Gulls to their fourth straight CCC win. Senior midfielder Paul Lord (Derry, NH) scored three goals while adding two assists. Sophomore midfielder Kevin Lally (Derry, NH) had an outstanding day feeding on five-assisted goal and netting one himself. Junior attackman Sam Chidester (Eliot, ME) and freshman attackman Dan Ryan (Billerica, MA) each added a goal, while senior midfielder Corey Fox (Weymouth, MA), freshman midfielder Jeff Clattenburg (Concord, NH) and junior midfielder Greg Colcord (Hampstead, NH) each added an assist.
The defense was superior only allowing one goal. Graduate Student goalie Matt Bagshaw (Framingham, MA) made eight saves while securing the win. Freshmen defensemen Patrick Gaffney (Worcester, MA), Rick Hancock (Wading River, NY) were outstanding on ground balls. Juniors Josh Maciorowski (Guilford, CT), Pat Phelan (West Hartford, CT) and Mike Clifford (Wilbraham, MA) all had solid performances to secure the win for Endicott.
The Gulls face off against out of conference opponent Amherst College at Endicott Stadium on April 8th at 5:00pm.
