Gammelgaard Signs Pro Contract To Play In Denmark

BEVERLY, Mass. — Former Endicott men's ice hockey defenseman Jacob Gammelgaard '20 (Esbjerg, Denmark) has signed a professional contract with Rungsted Seier Capital of the Metal Ligaen.

"Jacob's perseverance and character were unmatched over the course of his career at Endicott," said Endicott men's ice hockey head coach R.J. Tolan. "I love Jacob. There is no better person to represent our program in professional hockey and beyond. I am beyond excited for him."

During his time at Endicott, Gammelgaard compiled four goals and 22 assists for 26 points in 59 games played.

Gammelgaard also produced a +45 plus/minus rating and registered 49 blocked shots.

Among all skaters in program history (2015-20), Gammelgaard currently ranks seventh in plus/minus and ninth in blocked shots, all-time. Meanwhile, when compared to just defensemen, Gammelgaard is positioned fifth in plus/minus and sixth in blocked shots.

Gammelgaard is now the eighth student-athlete in program history to sign a professional contract and only the third defensemen among the group.
